Welcome to the 11th SA Veterinary & Paraveterinary Congress & Awards

This Congress is the South African Veterinary Association’s biennial flagship event, organised by SAVETCON Event Management and aims to bring together hundreds of veterinarians in private and public health; veterinary specialists; veterinary nurses; animal technologists and technicians to achieve closer collaboration between all appropriate stakeholders to improve the different aspects of health and welfare of humans, animals and the environment.

The SAVA Congress provides a unique opportunity for veterinarians in all branches of the profession to come together to explore the challenges that face animal health and welfare, to find solutions where possible and to demonstrate the value of the profession for the public good in a changing world.

The 2019 Congress saw over 350 Veterinarians – public & private, nurses, Specialists, technicians, technologists & researchers attend, 55 local and international speakers and 75 exhibitors.

We invite all our industry partners to join us as the veterinary community comes together at the 11th South African Veterinary and Paraveterinary Congress in 2021, celebrating 100 years of the national veterinary association and veterinary education in South Africa.

The SAVA2021 Congress will feature renowned presenters, provide unparalleled professional development, networking and diverse exhibits. There will also be plenty of opportunities for you to let your hair down and have some fun with other veterinary professionals just like you.

SAVA2021 will feature over 35 tracks happening simultaneously throughout the 4-day event and for the first time we are including a full day of wetlabs/cpd skills training sessions at Onderstepoort on the 4th, as well as OP Tours.

This equates to roughly 165 combined CPD hours lead by 210 speakers. That means tons of learning options, formats and topics.
